Sir Orkney of Melwind
King Constant the Second is dying. Over the years, the king has silently feared for the future of Tinnebry, a kingdom he loves but one whose countenance has lately been growing dim.
Having no apparent heir, his only hope has been to foster an alliance. So, to the people's excitement, he sends out a decree across the kingdom that any man with a knightly station may compete for the hand of his only daughter, and for the throne of Tinnebry itself. Soon to come of age, Princess Valan, a fair but plain beauty, has agreed to her father's plan... if somewhat reluctantly.
Among the many knights that answer comes an odd and unlikely contestant for a chance at the prize... Sir Orkney of Melwind.
