I broke your dream.

I crushed your desire.

I shattered your heart.

I'm sorry,

But some dreams

Are never meant to be.

Some desires

Overstep their bounds.

Some hearts

Need to move on.

Of the canyon between us-

The canyon you dug-

And watch, eyes shining

With undying hope,

Refusing to bridge the gap.
