Drowned Love

I chased  after you as fast as my feet could muster and my heart could contain. And when I fell over every obstacle of perfection that you threw at me with clichéd longing. And when you kept your distance I knew that running was useless but that didn't stop me from sprinting after your heart. And when you turned around to expose whose footsteps lingered you never noticed me staring into your soul with a fiery explosion of love. And when I screamed and professed of my love for you, you turned around and walked the other way. You shoved my love down into the bottom of the sea and I drowned trying to swim back to your heart.
