We are the ones you left
To dream alone in the dust
Eyes never to close to the light
Or to the dark
We are the ones who witnessed
A life that came and was lost to us
Still we remain imprisoned
What once was yours
We are the ones who anger you
Who never spoke your name
Faith gained and lost in time
Crushed butterflies
Could we have another life?
