A porcelain doll
With a cracked face
Staring at the wall
In this unwelcome place
Forlorn and in disrepair
Dress yellowed with age
Once long and shiny hair
No longer on the stage
No one ever glanced at her
Upon a towering shelf
Everyday an endless blur
With no one but herself
Never taken down to play
Alone in waning glitz
As her mind and soul decay
She forever sits
