We Are All Broken
When we are born, we are all broken.
We shatter the moment we open our eyes.
We are all but a billion tiny pieces-
like a puzzle of irrelevant fragments.
Then we might see our mothers,
or a least the ones who stood by as we were birthed
and one of our fragments may click into place.
Slowly but surely we find ourselves slowly becoming whole.
Eventually thouse fragments make pieces
those pieces might make a half
and before the very end, if you're very lucky,
you may even get to be whole
From the day we are born we are all but a puzzle
one that takes time and care to put together
but with enough effort we may yet complete it,
we may become that amazing person we are destined to become.
