"We even forgot our own name..."
We even forgot our own names. But first, it seemed, we forgot our bodies behind. We forgot to use our new forms ranging from transparent to almost opaque.
We were frightened whenever heavy, overbearing, loud others came. We forgot our peace and ended up shrieking in fear, and when their voices thundered, we were afraid. We threatened them, we did anything to make them leave. We only wanted to be left alone. We only wanted to forget until we were oblivion.
We never forgot the pain of forgetting though. We always had that aching essence of something missing. And even though we weren't what we once were, we just wanted to be nothing at all.
