Fluid Truth
Truth is elusive. Some may argue that truth is a subjective perspective. Do we require a fact to accept it as truth?
The sky is blue. Fact.
The sky is any color imaginable. Truth - if you look through rose colored glasses. In fact, color itself holds no truth for the blind.
2+2=4. Fact.
2+2=5. Truth, at least according to Orwell's iron fisted Big Brother in 1984. Winston Smith spent his days rewriting facts in order to accommodate an ever changing truth - a new truth regularly intended to rectify a new fact plaguing the mindless mass.
Facts are useless to the man seeking truth, just as one man's truth is useless to the brother seeking his own truth. Truth, as well as beauty, lies solely in the mind of the beholder. If we can somehow manage to stay true to ourselves and hang on with all our might to our personal truths, we will someday, as the grip loosens and the sky darkens and the numbers jumble, quietly proclaim,"My truth never lied."
