You & Me
You.
Your uncertain innocence,
Torn between the purity of a dove and the shadows of a raven.
Like an old, worn wall,
You paint your face with a thin coat of cheap, chipping, happiness, while the mold within you eats away at your being.
It won't take long until you crumble down, letting out the skeletons hidden in the very depths of your own darkness.
The months have flitted by and yet in the still of night
an image of you dances through my mind.
Me.
My concerning flaws, open wounds still bleeding out.
I struggle to keep my head above the water, the streams of self loathe continuosly fill my aching lungs. I can't keep myself afloat, I'm no good for you. I weigh you down while all I can do is live off of you.
The months have flitted by and yet in the still of night
an image of you dances through my mind.
