Lavender
-I had heard stories of other worlds,
Passed down tales of visited lands,
The waves of those stories moved me,
Like the waves that paint my sky.
-To venture or remain boxed?
Watching the boxes stack gets old,
Rebuilding takes time,
Time was up and I was gone.
-I began to leave and head up,
To the top of the waves,
To the heaven of air,
To my new life.
-As I arose an energy filled my body,
I was met by a source,
And reentered a new self,
The source unfolded itself in front of me.
-The purple hue of the bud faded,
Into the green tube of the stalk and leaves,
The bud had just begun to crown,
Till that fateful blue rain came.
-The lavender colored creature was crippled,
A sight that could embody the fragileness of life,
If the onlooker were to head that way,
But my sails were pointed elsewhere that day.
-Once the blue rain came I knew,
I can float just fine,
I just won’t stand for that game they play,
Trying to breath under water.
-The sun was my grand entrance a top the tide,
My home below me and a new source above,
Looking to the distance I see a place to rest,
Rolling hills of those lavender creatures,
can you smell them?
