Dicyclohexylcarbodiimide
Dicyclohexylcarbodomiide is a naturally occurring brain chemical that aids memory function.
I learned this at a memory seminar in Marrakech, of all places. It was a two-day intensive break-out session, part of a larger conference I attended. By the end of the class, I was able to memorize lengthy numbers with ease, rattle off complicated poems by heart and learn the names of 24 people in under 5 minutes.
The following night, our group (over 200 people) were treated to a casbah that was organized just for us. We would get there by bus. My husband and I took our seats, as other members of our organization boarded. One man got on and he looked so familiar. I stared and stared at him. Finally I turned to my husband and said, "How do I know that guy?"
My husband burst out laughing and responded, "Very funny."
"What's funny?" I asked.
Husband looked at me, eyebrows knitted. "Are you serious? He's the guy that taught the memory class!"
True story.
