Celestial
Moon is nothing without her Sun.
Invisible,
Gone unnoticed,
Except for when her savior is behind her.
And he shines in the day,
And backs her at night,
Gives her a little light for when all is dark.
Earth holds the mountains,
Those which are daunting to climb.
And it holds the storms that threaten humanity.
And it holds humanity, which threatens itself.
Moon feels full when Earth is unseen,
But each month she must start anew.
But it never lasts long,
As it casts a shadow,
Hiding Sun’s light,
And the blackness becomes all consuming.
Little by little,
Warmth returns,
And Sun and Moon become united.
But it never lasts long,
As Earth’s shadow returns,
Always insisting to hide true peace.
