Challenge
Challenge of the Week #59: Modernise Shakespeare’s ‘Shall I Compare Thee’ sonnet. The most masterfully written piece, as voted and determined by the Prose team, will be crowned winner and receive $100. Quality beats quantity, always, but numbers make things easier for our judges, so share, share, share with friends, family, and connections. #ProseChallenge #getlit #itslit
Modern Shall I compare thee
Will I compare you to a summer day?
You are so amazing and so simple
The spring breeze shakes the buds of the upcoming blossoms
And summers don't last long enough
Sometimes the sun is too hot
And it is often darkened by clouds
And everything beautiful stops being beautiful when it dies
By chance or by natures design
But your summer will always remain the same
And your beauty shall always remain
Death will not brag as you walk in the underworld
Once you are in these lines
As long as men live and can see
This poem will keep your beauty alive
