Recille could not believe it. What on earth does one get ready to do when invited to a royal gathering/feast? He'd have to go to a tailor.
An old wise Tailor sits in his working area and says to himself: It seems like there is someone who needs my assistance.
Then with the movement of a gentle breeze-a pair of scissors...and box of assorted cotton threads, carefully move all by themselves-from the top of the shelves to the Tailor's knitting area. Before half the day is gone, there is a beautiful new suit that even the Tailor was quite impressed with. He thanked his tools and they bowed before getting back to their former locations.
Before the dark starry blanket fell over the lovely Spring afternoon. A young man walked into the Tailor's workshop.
Tailor: What a great day to buy a new suit. Wouldn't you agree young man?
Recille: Oh! Right, I almost forgot what I came to get over here.
Tailor: Why? Is there something else that you need?
Recille saw a shimmer and sparkle in the Tailor's eyes. The suit that looked brand new seemed to be drawing him closer to it. For a moment he wasn't even sure anymore if he only came to buy a new suit.
The Tailor noticed Recille's hesitation. Then he chuckled and told him that he didn't need to pay for the suit. It was free of charge.
Recille thanked the Tailor and went on his way.
Before he knew it, he was right at the palace gates. He showed the guard his invitation card and walked past the Royal large diamond encrusted gates. Then he strolled past the chrysanthemum emerald garden and the fountain of chocolate & honey too. He wondered if these were all gifts given to the King-by his fellow royal grand visitors from the neighboring kingdoms.
When he (finally) reached the King's palace-there were much grander sights to see. Not only was the palace so intriguing, but also the said new gifts brought for the King-were also a sight for Recille to behold.
Without warning all his senses seemed to be drawn to something or rather someone in the room. It was Princess Lubasi, the youngest daughter of King Lufuko. Her dress looked as if it was made out of petals from Roses. Recille could not stop staring at her. He really was looking forward to the dance now. Oh no! The dance. He knew he had to remember something. His dancing was even worse than his cousins tantrums. And that was not the worst part. He did not know if he could steal her away -from all the other young better guys, who she might actually know. He was a stranger in the crowd. As all of these thoughts were floating in his head, he hadn't noticed that the young princess had walked over to him.
Princess Lubasi: My what an amazing suit you have there. Uhm, Sir....?
Upon hearing someone's voice Recille's mind came back to reality. He realized then who was right in front of him. His quick response saved him from his day-dreaming, and making a lasting first impression.
Recille: I'm Sir J. Recille. But most poelple call me Recille.
Lubasi: It's a great pleasure to meet you Sir J. Recille....I beg your pardon-Recille. I'm.....
Recille: Princess Lubasi.
Lubasi: Ah, yes. How did you know that?
Recille: I am familiar with the King's family and its history. I'm a historian.
Lubasi: Oh, I see. Your work must be fascinating then, I presume.
Recille: Yes, quite so. It is. Would you like to dance? (Where the words came out of who knows. He thought to himself).
Lubasi: That would make my hour Recille.
As the music played in the background. Recille could not believe that he was dancing with the King's daughter.
They danced for a long time. They didn't even realize that it was almost time for the feast.
The King asked the musicians to stop playing-while he called for all the guests to get ready for the main treat of the hour.
It was time for all to be served and enjoy dining with the Royal family. Recille made his way to a stand near the desserts and beverages. And Princess Lubasi left to dine with her family.
Prince Shalmun: Greetings Recille.
Recille: Greetings Prince Shalmun.
Shalmun: I see that my sister adores you.
Recille: I only asked her for one dance.
Shalmun: That is true. But she rarely dances or speaks with guests much less people she does not know.
Recille: Alright. That's interesting to know. I guess the Princess is getting to know more about her visitors.
Shalmun: I will be keeping my eyes on her and you. I have heard you're a good man, maybe she was drawn to your suit.
Recille: What are you talking about? I would not bring or cause any harm to the Princess?
Shalmun: Don't worry about that. She has her own elder brother looking out for her.
As Recille watched Shalmun walk away his tummy felt uneasy. And it felt as if there was a sudden tight knot, and twist that came upon his tummy. Maybe it was just his a way of his stomach giving signs of hunger.
Recille walked to the main food area to grab food and also to look for the Princess. He didn't have to look for long. He now also had to worry about having another one-on-one conversation-with none other than the Princely Elder Brother/Guardian.
Lubasi: Hello Recille. What a surprise meeting you here.
Recille: Speaking of surprises I do love your brother. He will make a wonderful ruler someday.
Lubasi: My one and only elder brother. Every little girl needs to have a brother like him. He's a strict guardian. Even Papa is not as stern as him. But he has a kind and loving heart.
Recille: I have to be in his good books. I've got to be on my best behavior.
Lubasi: You're a funny historian.
Recille: Thank you. I should begin training as a jestor.
The two spent the rest of their time by each other's side. They listened to the musical performances from the different kingdoms, and they also watched as the King recevied his new gifts.
From the Kingdom of Arsul: They handed the King a rare Sea-Turtle and dozens of rubies.
From the land of Cancu-They presented to the royal family new dresses and suits for the family to wear.
From the region of Tatskon: The King was given beautiful precious royal blue flamingoes-known only to the Tatskon region.
And from Kyrgysz....the King received a magical orb that allowed him to view the varying diverse galaxies and extending universes, & worlds including his own Kingdom.
Recille was amazed at all the gifts and would have loved to be able to tour to all these (neighboring) other kingdoms and regions.
Right after all the gifts were opened the King thanked all his guests for showing up. Recille wished the princess a goodnight and went on his way home.
The following morning he thought it was all a dream. As he walked past his closet he saw the suit glimmer and shimmer in the morning light. I guess the Princess could be right-he thought to himself. This might be no ordinary suit after all. Who knows....one would say it was magical!
