A guardian in love
No son, born to man had the courage to even be seen at a foot distance from the shore but this was no son of man. Such was his anger that the seas roared and the skies trembled when his trenchant eyes set sight on them.
With a robust chest firm against the impregnable winds, and a mind that would penetrate any army and devour the gallantry of any antagonist that plinth in his path,
he stood.
Winds soared and brawny waves smashed against the sturdy rocks. On top of the kernel rock he stood, confronting the sea, angry upon himself and his father, for providing him the heart of a human. He was in love.
In medial of the bleak weather, she promenaded towards him. Suddenly the winds stood still, the seas lay tranquil as if they’d never been disturbed. She called him by his name, and awaited his response.
‘Why me?’ the words paraded through her voice.
A simple question, but words so harsh to him, he couldn’t help but define his love for her.
Thunder shuddered in the clouds and lightning awaited its call as he replied,
‘There are times when I look at you and I still can’t believe you’re real, I’ve broken many hearts on my way here, I’ve been subjected to some tremendous negative emotions but I never chose to step out of the darkness, because I never found a way. Pessimism had almost cast its shadow upon me, before your light dragged me back to reality. I never imagined I'd find someone so perfect one day, but now that I've found the one, she seems to have lost her faith in true love. This treacherous journey has guided me to you, and for the first time I’ve felt my own heartbeat. A heartbeat that I won’t let go a waste.’
