Childs eyes

I wish

I could rewind time

Back to when I had child's eyes

Innocent and so carefree

Optimistic and ignorant

Of how the world really works

If I still could see this way

I could ignore all the pain

And see the beauty that abounds

Instead of the tarnish that stains it
