Life
Life is a gift, a present from your grandparents on Christmas morning, wrapped in a sparkling gold paper and handed to you to look after. Like all gifts, life is treated very differently depending on the person it is given to. some people treasure it, they protect it with their all and let nothing touch it. Other’s tend to put it on a shelf and forget about it, disregard it, and soon it gathers dust and slips away, forgotten. And there are other’s that recklessly throw the gift around, constantly taunting those who don’t have as precious a gift. Holding it right under their nose and snatch it away at the last minute, tossing it up and down and just before it looks like it’s going to hit the ground, and smash into a thousand pieces of glass, they catch it. But sometimes, they won’t be quick enough, maybe they didn’t snatch it away fast enough, or their hand slipped when they tried to catch it, and the beautiful gift hits the ground with shards of glass flying into the air, and the gift cannot be mended.
