Responsibility
I've heard that it is best to write about the things that you know. Stem your story from it. That gives it authenticity, believable content to capture your audience. Well, here's a bit of reading material that is mixed with known and considerable ideas, not a story.
Exhilarating is the mood as I watch the trees bend. I'm not sure how to shield the lighter for my cigarette.
I hear God's calls in the woods where I live. He says to write the following:
Why are the birds quiet and the hornets stay away just before a storm?
There is meaning in The Wizard of Oz, Forest Gump and Dodge Ball. There is meaning in your life. There is meaning all around you.
What should you do? Where should you live? How can you make ends meat?
The instructions are in your soul that already knows. Note where you are geographically. Look at your age. Look at what you find interesting. Look at what your responsibilities are. Now that's the big one, responsibility.
If you look at what you consider to be your responsibility you might call yourself a slacker as do most of us. Stop that undesirable behavior. Take on the challenge. Let your back get sore. Be responsible to your desires. Be responsible to others.
What are you good at?
One piece of advice I give to you is to focus on your ability to be patient. Wait. We train dogs to do it. Who doesn't love a kind patient dog? Was someone ever patient with you? How did it feel?
Pay attention to crows and ravens as they do carry messages. They say that change is coming. Not bad things, but that is possible. Just be aware they carry messages.
One major thing that will sooth your sole is to care for an elderly person. The world is becoming full of them. It is natural to cough too much, choke on food, walk like a turtle, repeat worries and do nothing but stare at a TV all day, refusing an outing. Many of them are depressed, facing death, not sure of eternity or anything 'around the bend.' Sometimes abusive, they have nightmares of things undone and some are seemingly completely out of their minds. Love them. Reassure them. Help them. Cuz guess what..you will be them someday.
Educate yourself. What if Planet X is on the way? Why are the rich buying apartments underground? Is freedom of speech becoming a "no no?"
There were many beautiful lives before us and scores of beings we haven't met yet. Yes I'm talking aliens.
Are we part of a heard of people kept in the dark and fed shit like mushrooms? I think so.
But that's just my opinion.
Bottom line, love people, own up to your responsibilities, and that includes all you baby daddys out there. Wrap it or pay for it for eighteen years. Don't take the money and run. Responsibility will heal your broken hearts. Stepping up to the plate and even accepting the chance you'll strike out is where happiness is.
Your soulmate is out there looking for you too. You are not alone.
Take time to search for mentors and accept help from them. Read their books. Read as much as you can. Even the directions on Hot Pockets.
Trust that you will be enlightened and be happy.
Remember the path to enlightenment is understanding responsibility. Tending to that, yields happiness.
Take baby steps to get where you want to be. Start doing dishes before you can be a waiter.
Be a stage hand before you're on the stage.
Scoop the poop before you ride the horse.
You can do it.
To be enlightened is wonderful. Check out Victor Oddo. Get spiritual. Grow a spiritual spine. It will give you support and encourage you.
Never forget the old folks. Hopefully you'll be one, so old you can't pull your pants up and you fart in good company while someone is there to take care of your ass.
