The Fox And The Ox
A young fox
And a young ox
Both spring and spry
Were not expecting, that day,
To die.
they were the most inseparable around-
And insufferable.
Making trouble all over town,
Until one day the village said, “We must crack down!”
On this young bull,
Causing so much damage.
He causes way more than his pocketful
Of trouble
Every day.
And his friend fox.
Not even old pops,
The neighborhood good guy likes him.
“Yes, we could throw them in the lake as they can't swim.”
“It would be a good joke,”
Just for that day
The even worse folk
Of that town did say.
So they caught them both
In clever traps.
And although the ox and the fox made an oath,
Their captors only joked and said “perhaps,”
Before they threw them into the river.
And although they struggled so
And tried to keep their heads afloat
The evil trio just said, “Stop pretending, Let it go.”
Not realizing neither foxes nor oxen were able to swim.
A young fox
And a young ox
Both spring and spry
Were not expecting, that day,
To die.
