Aphrodite Rose
a Rose for Him
as if from Venus herself
once lost, so alone
forever apart, now one, an eloping
from life's mysteries
and desires unspoken
entranced with the snakes dance
this mortal coil unbroken
entwined with red wine
sacred souls scorched sweetly
from old poets now divine
devoured by mad love, deeply
and to be buried inside
the tainted tomb of lavish lovers
unlocked, yet lost in the wild
entrenched undercovers
what will we find
when death becomes her
no more she spellbinds
blonde curls, red velvet and her leopard skin fur
this girl in grey dies to hide behind
unchained from bed, enchained for rapture
revived by long lashes and his black leather stature
brown eyed boy, beautiful monster, it's the end of her plight
he could set this girl aright, if only he knew
tightly held under weeping willow 'till twilight
wild at heart, he's whipped for you
an ocean apart, a fortnight of delight
bitten and beaten, merci beaucoup
beauty killed the beast and i love you
