Mixed Culture
Do it for the culture
Get rid of the vultures
Need to close this rupture
Before its too late for closure
My mind is ripe for the Harlem renaissance
The soul is uneasy, as is the easel
That holds the canvas for the Master Artist
Painting with His divine strokes
Can't let it slip away so soon
I was inspired so, the crack a lacking
Left me desiring for the blackness to arrive
Out of my skin but all I heard was the whip
I'm not black or white , I'm not even brown
I can pass for an Arabic, with skin so smooth I could even be an Italian guido mafioso
What can I blame, who can I point the finger
When America culture is at the apex of melting all of us together in this one pot
Hollywood has all of us confused
So I do it for the culture
Let's get rid of the vultures
We need to close this rupture
Before it's too late for closure
