What a Trip!
In college, when the world was frolicsome,
the prof said we should swallow this capsule;
his grand experiment sounded like fun--
it was a little pill, quite beautiful.
He promised that no harm would come to us,
but as he said this I just had to laugh;
he turned into a hippopotamus,
and then began to waltz with a giraffe.
They danced, then morphed into a big yeti
with horrid breath—truly abominable!
He paid us fifty bucks for our psyches,
(potential brain damage? Collateral…)
With mind altering drugs like LSD,
how strange the world promises to be!

** Many of you may recognize this structure as an English sonnet. Although it is an extremely strange one, it is crafted in iambic pentameter. This was a great mental exercise prompt, and it only proves my theory, that with a poetic form, you can turn even the strangest list of words into a story. Thanks for a fun prompt!
