Thank God for Music
Lyrics are interesting because we can like songs with lyrics in languages we can't understand yet thoroughly enjoy hearing them and somehow get it. For example, years before I learned to speak German I loved Nina Hagen.
Often lyrics, like poetry, evoke a feeling yet the actual words put together don't result in a clear cut, logical meaning. It's more about feeling. Music is feeling. Lyrics, that feeling in words. Here are some lyrics that came into my head. Lyrics put to their perfect companion of rhythm and beat. And let's not forget the singer, the conveyor of this feeling put to words.
Below is just a tiny dip into the abundance of inspiring, moving, healing, hyping, romantic, powerful, trippy, political, fun, love and lust inducing lyrics that have found me over the years. (I'm sure I have left out some adjectives.)
