Ages of Love

We had been friends since we were seven. Well, I was seven, he was seven and a half, thank you very much. He brought home the bacon, I took care of the baby, aka Daisy, his cocker spaniel. At eighteen we went to different colleges, promising to keep in touch. I turned twenty-two and moved to New York to pursue a career in fashion design. On my twenty-fourth birthday, dissatisfied with my life, I moved back home to find a different career. I found him instead, waiting for me. Now, at twenty-six (and twenty-six and a half), he brings home the bacon, and I take care of our baby.
