Challenge
Drabble me this. 100 words of fiction. Not 99, not 101, not 847. One hundred words precisely.
100 words of fiction. Not 99, not 101, not 847. One hundred words precisely. On choosing the winner, I couldn't care less about popularity and likes. I care about the storytelling. With a good side dish of solid grammar and following the rules of sticking to a hundred words.
Collision
Cassie's feet felt heavy. Well, not heavy really. Thick. Stuck. She tried to wiggle her toes and a pain shot straight up from her toes to her scalp- threatening to split her in two. Darkness. Her right arm bent beside her unnaturally. Again, she tried to move it. No pain this time. But, no movement. With her left hand she brushed her matted hair from her eyes. She felt something sticky, wet by her right eye. Blood? If only there was light? What happened? Cassie reached in front of her for any clue. She heard it then. The haunting laugh.
