Challenge
For those of you who write (or have written) longer piece -- such as novels, novellas, or even short stories -- would you ever read it aloud in public? Why or why not? And do you even read your own work? Why or why not? I'm genuinely curious of what other writers do with their work after it's finished.

Of course I would never read it out loud. Why set myself up for that humiliation?
I do, however, occasionally go back and read my work with new eyes, taking advantage of that moment to tweak and change it a bit. I would be lying if I said I never fangirled over my own stories/characters.
