A New Place
I have no idea what that stands for but for some reason I was sent here. I feel like I have been here for long time. The people keep saying I’m perfect and amazing, but I don't why they are say that. Well I know I am great but still it was weird. I have only been here for a few days. I think.
When I was twelve I had to go through entry tests then I was chosen to go to SAC. I had no idea what that was going on. Then the next school year I was sent to SAC with several of my friends. We were told we would help the world so much, and that we had to follow the rules at the school and do everything they told us to do.
They send a short list of what we needed to bring. My parents were upset that I had to leave, yet really happy that I was chosen. However, they wouldn't tell me any about what was going to happen. Something didn't seem right.
When we got there it was amazing. They gave us so much stuff. It looked so beautiful. It was a giant castle. I had to share a room with several other girls but the room was huge. I can't even describe the bathroom. We all had huge closets but we weren’t quite sure why they told us to pack so little. But it was still amazing. The dining hall was so beautiful. Even the classroom was amazing for being a
classroom.
I will begin school in two days. I have few a of my current friends but I hope to make more friends. I do not know how long I will be here or why I am here and hope to find out. I think tomorrow I will explore the castle and see what I can find out.
Then someone came onto our room. They said its time for the tour and that we will meet the principal. So we must get ready fast. Maybe I will finally find out some stuff.
Then off we went on our tour. We found out what class we will be going to, we went to the library and passed a couple rooms that the guide said we were not suppose to go in. Then we finally got to the principal’s office.
The Principal said, " Hi, kids and welcome to SAC. We are very glad to have you. My name is Mrs. Smart. I love to help you thrive". She said a lot more but I wasn't paying attention because I was focused on all the gems around the room. " The bed time is 8:30 and school starts at 9:00. So have a good night."
"Goodnight!" We all said and left. On the way back I noticed that one of doors was open it kind of made me curious. A little part of me wondered if any of the other girls saw that the door was open. “Maybe I'll ask them later when the adults have left,” I thought.
When we got back to the room, it was all ready 6:00. We were all starving because we hadn't eaten since we left our homes. The tour guide told us that dinner will be ready soon but we must not leave the room until he returns to take us to the dinning room. Several of the other girls asked why and he just replied " because you girls are bran new to SAC and we want to make sure you do not get lost in our wonderful school" but I figured they didn't want us to find out what's really going on here.
Once he left we all just sat there staring at each other not quite sure what to say or what to do. We all had been taken away from our families, none of us were told what we were doing here and we were all very confused. My friends came and sat by me and I could tell they wanted me to say something. I wanted to but every time I opened my mouth nothing came out. Oh I couldn’t bear the awkward quietness any more I had to say something and break the ice because I was pretty sure no one else would. We all just sat staring at each other. I need to say something but what? " Hi my name is Seari. I have no idea what I'm doing here. Oh by the did you see that open door on the way back from the tour?" No that's probably not a good thing to say but I still need to say something. We'll here go nothing!
"Hi!" I said with an awkward smile but everyone just stared at me. I decided to continue, " My name is Seari and I'm thirteen years old." Thank goodness one of my friends spoke up after I was done if she didn't I thought I would've died.
" Hello my name is Ashley and I'm thirteen too." I was surprised Ashley is usually quite and not the one who I suspected to speak up. I thought Kaitlin would have spoken first.
" Well my name is Kaitlin and well I'm thirteen and me and Ashley are twins." Well no duh they look almost exactly alike. Blonde hair, blue green eyes and both bout medium height and skinny. For the longest time I could not tell them apart and I have known since we were three. I still mix them up sometimes. Slowly the other girls in the room started to speak up and say their names. Still no one said where they are from and whose in their family. Well at least until this one girl she was the very last one to speak and I could tell there was something different about her but I just couldn't tell what.
" Hi "She said very meekly and slowly" My name is Saphina and I’m um twelve." She was younger than then rest of us but still she seemed different. I was sure it was not just her age there was something else. Soon after she was done speaking the tour guide guy came in. " Sorry for the long wait. Now it is time to eat. I hope you all got acquainted while waiting." Then he motioned for us to leave the room. Still in an awkward silence we left the room. Kaitlin and Ashley were still staring at me but I didn't feel like ask them why. The tour guide started talking again but I wasn't really listening. I was looking and hoping that some of the doors would be open enough for me to see in. When I tuned back in to the tour guides annoying voice he was explaining where we had to sit and what to expect. Well it's dinner what else could there be but food and more awkward staring between all of us. I sure hoped the twins were listening because I was not. My mind was too busy thinking about what are we doing here and that is seemed like a longer walk to the dinning room then earlier when we came.
