Rose In My Hand
The mild summer breeze warms my body, as an overpowering scent of wild flowers hit me like a ton of bricks
Tranquil sounds all around soothe me, ridding my body of stress and anger
Surprisingly soft grass beneath my feet, invites me to lie down
Just as I’m about to, your warm strong arms pull me close to you
I feel a strong heat form in my face, and I know I am blushing
The loneliness and depression built up over time disappears the second I feel you close
When I turn I see a face that’s so familiar, one I have been longing to see for ages
You softly whisper “I miss you to, but we don’t have much time”
You take my hand in yours, as you lead me along the grass turns to warm grainy sand
Beautiful ocean views fill my head with excitement
It’s just like a scene from a movie,
The water doesn’t feel like an ice cube like I thought, it’s almost as warm as a bath, all afternoon we enjoyed each others company, but now, now you must go,
My heart starts to cry and I feel the tears start to run down my face,
You hug me close and in your sweet soft voice you say “please don’t cry think about all the fun we have had today and remember I love you and we will always be together”
And in an instant he’s gone
I’m left with nothing but the memory, and the rose in my hand
