You don't care

but you want to

you want to laugh with your friends

or cry, or scream, or smile

you want to do anything,

feel anything,

but you can't

Instead there is a hole,

where your emotions used to be

without your joy,

or your fear,

or your pain,

there is nothing

you are faintly aware

that it just feels wrong

and you want to feel anything

anything besides that wrong

that awful,

numbing,

apathy
