The Lonely Traveler
I wander this pile of dirt
And ponder my trials of worth
I scan all my visions
And my past decisions
I've squandered my miles on earth
What is my purpose
What is my meaning
What is to quench my hunger and needing
I walk down the path
Where is it leading
Am I the captain
Do I just follow
Am I being read or am I the one reading
This rock that I stroll can be so devieving
My time here is limited
It's something I treasure
We are still primitive
Knowledge can't be measured
I travel to learn
Understanding I yearn
I look for truth
Not trivial pleasure
I guess I'm to be
The best that I can
I'm beginning to see
I'm to make my own plan
To follow myself
Not to follow the clan
My own notion is where I'm to stand
