My superhero

Sitting by the corniche on ledge I enjoy the warm summer evening. The sun setting in as it lights up the sky in a orange hue, the fisher men bring in the catch, I am lost in a dreamy world.

I watch a silhoutte of couple and am mesmerised, like me they are lost in the world of their own.

I am taken to another world I am with my hero, he comes on a spaceship and circles around me, am bedazzled as I never expected to see him, he lands few feet away from me,

I stand up and in awe watch him come out the ship, in his hand is a bunch of silver colored flowers he comes straight to me, holds out his hand towards me I reach out for

his hands, I look into his steel eyes but there is warmth as he takes my hand into his palm, my heart beats faster, he says to me "I am come to take you with me"

without any hesitation I am delighted and go with him. He lifts me into the space craft

and gently places me on a couch next to him. He straps the belts and ask's the capitan to take off.

As we are into space I watch the planets and the countless stars, he asks me if I would like to go out there - I say no and that I want to spend time with him and not leave him for a second. I have no idea what the time is as we approach the moon he asks the captain to make a halt.

The spaceship comes to a halt, he asks me to remove the belt and holding me in his arms,

he brings me onto the milky planet............ there are other people there and as they see us coming out, they all come towards us and greet us by bowing their heads, I feel like a queen, we walk through rows of people. In the center of what seemed a hall a lady comes to me and takes me away from him, am bit alarmed but the smiles and asks me to go along with her.

She takes me in and asks me to change into a space gown, I get dressed and come out,

she is not there my super hero is there all decked up. He takes my arm and we along and we walk back to the hall. He surprises me by asking me the long awaited question "he asked if I will marry him" I say yes". He puts a big moon ring on my finger, hold up my chin and give me a peck on my cheek. I am in a trance, my hero, my life finally I am with him.

I reach out to put the ring on his finger..................

a sand storm disturbs us, the sea gets rough, the waves hit against the ledge, I am woken up and find no one and nothing just me alone on the ledge, I hear the police siren warning all the beach goers to head back.

I sigh,

I look around no superhero and up at the sky, no spaceship, no stars, just a dark night, with the wind howling,

I picked up my bag and went away.
