Dance
Shall we dance,
Take a chance
He asked me
And I knew
He would be true
About his lies
He had already,
Trembling unsteady
Unwound me
Plucked the strings
Within the rings
Of my beating heart
Taught me to live
So I could give
The unknown
Left me alone
With the stone
In my chest
Yet I still love
As if from above,
How foolish
For with him
I can swim
The rapids of life
A fleeting dance
One more chance
Before death consumes
