Dark
She’s lying on the floor.
So cold.
She opens her eyes.
Its pitch dark.
There is a gun in her right hand. She’s sure.
Where am I?
She feels weird.
Who am I?
She tries to remember but nothing comes to her mind. It’s blank.
She gets up with a throbbing ache in her head.
“Hello? Anyone out there?” she says out loud. Her voice comes out rather strained.
She hears a beep somewhere and suddenly the lights are on.
She looks around herself and finds a porcelain doll, a broken doll.
She surveys the walls. There are some ineligible carvings on the wall. Someone has tried to write something. The room doesn’t have any furniture, nor any windows. There’s just a bed. The bed looks like it has been slept in.
She looks at a shard from the broken doll lying where she just was, did she write this?
Someone has unlocked the door and is pushing it in.She staggers back, surprised.
“Hello there!” comes in a man’s voice, a gaunt looking man steps in.He has white coat and a notepad with him. He looks so pale. When he smiles she gets goosebumps.
“Well now, Subject...Um...”he checks his notepad. “Subject 35F1990A213, would you care to lie down on your bed. No need to be scared. This is a routine checkup.”
The man sees her and smiles again. “Please lie down, Subject” he repeats.
“Why am I here?” she asks, her voice quivering.
He chuckles. “Well, Subject, Even if I tell you, what is the use? You do not have the ability to form memories. We have been doing this from 3 months. Just remember that you have been very helpful to us, to our cause. To mankind.”
She’s trembling now.
Before she points at the gun at him, he tackles her and wrestles the gun from her. The last thing she sees is a needle and then…
She’s lying on the floor.
So cold.
She opens her eyes.
Its pitch dark.
There is a gun in her right hand. She’s sure.
Where am i?
She feels weird.
Who am i?
