A Midnight River
Her life stands in uniformity
She will not be caged by conformity
Her visions release a prophetic dream
A separation of light and dark by a seam
Every night she prays
'inside these empty walls
let me see the light'
With each passing day, her hope slowly fades
She swallows the dark and it cuts like blades
She is but a vessel for her foolish ways
The life she leads seems nothing but a daze
Her feet & desperation learn another route
She has nothing stopping her than lingering self-doubt
Remembering that life is about how to thrive
Touched by the sunlight, her corpse comes alive
