Honey Lake
Land lay in drought in the hill and the valley,
the big horn sheep roamed around in search of the liquid gold.
The river was dry, the pond was dry,
and the draught killed the eternal fountain.
Past the hills through the valley it dragged itself,
in search of a drop of water, in search of life.
After a journey of a sun and moon,
she reached a lake so big that the water danced on the shore.
Of thirst she drank the water of the great lake,
it tasted funny, but the thirst was great.
A minute it took for the salt to choke her,
Sea finally dragged her body and fed it to her children.
