First of all, I am too thankful for the overwhelming response I received from all of you and I have no words to explain how motivated I felt while writing the next part of the story,”A Lost Boy”.

As, you all have been patiently waiting for the next part so here I am and not wasting more of your precious time, let’s continue..
The colours of the painting, Daksh drew on the canvas of his mind, were now faded and it made him feel despair. The dreams broke into pieces. So miserable was he that he felt life to be meaningless.
All his friends turned into detectives, tracing every corner of the college and nearby hangouts to find the forlorn figure. The sun was going to sleep and the atmosphere of tension was developed among all.
Finally, the stress was over when they recieved a call from him. He excused saying that he had jumped into the wrong bus and battery was
drained out. And, all were finally relieved.
The night for Daksh was a dreadful one with ‘No’ hitting like a slap to his soul. Having no other choice, he was bound to forget everything. So, he made up his mind to heal the scars of his heart.
The next Sunday morning was filled with a sudden surprise for him when he received a call from Soumya apologising him about her reaction and offered him a hand of friendship.
One of his friend enjoying the single status himself, suggested Daksh that it was not just friendship but a step towards conquering his love. A little slower but the friendship was much better than the burden of having an incomplete love story.
So, the days started to pass with little studies, stock of laughs and box of gossips with college friends and moon was welcomed with chatting with one and only Saumya. She was a true friend and more he got to know her, more he could explore the deep secrets she hid under her innocent smiles. The chats were getting longer with passage of time but the end was always with a flirtatious comment of

The month of February ignites the fire of love in all the couples. So, this time, he again dared to ask her out for celebration of Valentine’s week. But, she refused.One should respect the decision of other,so this is what he did.
But, friends are always there to play their part in your story. So, all the mutual friends somehow, managed to insist Saumya to go for an excursion with Daksh. She clarified that it was not going to be a date at all and the plan was made after Valentine’s week.
The spring time is the time to visit Mughal Garden for Delhites to enjoy the aroma of the scented flowers and gaze at the beauty of nature. So, there were they moving with thick silence in air and looking all around enjoying the scenery.
Coming out of the garden, they went to a nearby park to savor the flavour the ice creams. Daksh’s brain was searching for some random stuff to start conversation but her presence next to him made his mind blank. The heart thumping so fast overloaded with joy, but, the face hiding his enthusiasm very nicely. And, turning towards her, he found big round drops of tears falling over her cheeks.
He stared her for a while thinking hard of what wrong did he say but the matter of fact was that they said nothing. And, then, suddenly, she put her head over his shoulder.
The shirt wet with her sobbing and she was melting on his shoulder like ice cream he had in his hand. No idea how to react, he remained intact. Promptly , she said the three magical words he never expected to come out of her mouth and there he was, sitting like a dumb as if trying to decode her language.
Realising the depth of her words, he finally replied and since then the two are together like love birds.
The time passed with many ups and downs to which they were standing together like two pillars ready to face even the strongest cyclone of troubles.
The three years of graduation have ended now and now, they are in long distance relationship. But, the distance would never be able to affect the knot of promise they are tied to, making them stay happy forever.
