Split a Word with a Fellow Proser
Team up with someone on Prose to create a collaborative poem based on a single word/theme... any word/ theme agreed upon by you both. Set a time limit of 6 minutes for your initial independent writes, then combine the two efforts into another longer poem using all the lines of the two individual writes. You hold the world,
my friends,
people I do business with,
and countless others.

You hold the time,
set the date,
play upon the Internet,
even count the seconds
when I jog or walk.
you fit perfectly wherever I go

trapped inside
a case I've kept
filed so close
to the vest—
You always make sure
I get my messages
and never ask for anything,
but occasional juice now and then.

and I clutched
with clenched
fists the bars
of my cell—
