Buzzz
It happened when I was still in elementary school. But I can still remember it like it was only yesterday. My cousin was babysitting my sister and I. The radio was playing her favorite songs. What a lovely, grand, lazy day. There we were, all three of us, enjoying sound of the radio & dancing along to the music, when all of a sudden we heard a loud buzzing sound.
We all dashed from the living room and found the source of the buzz. A swarm of bees had covered the entry way to the kitchen door. I stood there shaking. My entire body felt numb. I could hardly move. Then, in a blink of an eye, my cousin ran right through the door. I was shocked. What was she thinking running into the bees, and leaving me and my sister behind? I guess we all lost our minds. A couple minutes later, my little sister did the same thing. I was now freaking out. A-ha. The only logical thing I thought of doing was to tag along with the crew. Soon, we were all running like headless chickens from the house and towards the road that led to the field.
My heart beat so fast. We all screamed as we tries to run away from the bees. In a matter of seconds, we were rescued by some of our neighbors that were in the field close by. They carried my little sister and I to the other side of the road, there we hid under a thick wild growth of grass. My cousin was by our side. Luckily for us, the bees didn’t chase us in the wild grass.
We wondered what had angered the bees. We later found out that one of the kids in the neighborhood had used his catapult to aim at a small bird. But he missed it, the stone he threw ended up hitting the water tank and upsetting the bees. The bees, after that accident, ended up coming to get whoever had disturbed them. At that point, the young boy had ran away. The nearest target was the house that we were in. I wouldn’t want to have to face a swarm do bees ever again.
