A Preponderance of Problems
I've heard the tales, the monkey's paw, the blowback; I am well versed in unintended consequences, Mr. Genie. You can solve problems but will you also create more? If you solve climate change, will starvation and poverty result? I ask for peace on Earth so you ship all the humans and animals inclined to conflict to another planet? Most careful shall I be in my request of you but you'll be cleverer than I. You've had a millenia to practice this, haven't you? Perhaps it's learned helplessness that causes me to quake at the thought. Maybe I'm just overthinking a generous offer. The problem I most wish to solve is being able to make effective change myself. I want to help the world with so many troubles but I don't even know where to start. A small wish like that might be the best choice.
