Void Bringer

Silence blanketed the land of old. In this age of darkness, chaos ruled the ancient peoples. Their once peaceful world was suddenly struck by a great calamity which submerged their world into a frenzy. A beast of the Void, without warning, came and devoured the planet. No living thing was safe from the beast’s gaping maw. It came suddenly and consumed just as quickly. Civilizations were brought to ruin, the soil grew barren and man was all but assured that this was indeed the end times. However, a hero of the divine light was born within the last of the scattered survivors. The hero was said to posses a strength that far surpassed that of the beast. When the day came that he finally met with the creature, his power overwhelmed the beast and banished it back into the Void from which it came. However, once the monster was slain, the hero was overcome by the influence of Void, desperate to now find a new host. The hero accepted the darkness as to stop its spread to others, dragging him into the Void as well. It is said that the divine hero still lives as an immortal within the Void, driving away any force inside that would seek to burst from its dark prison to conquer our world once more. To this day he fights, always protecting our world from being once more consumed by this darkness.
