Challenge
Today we are burying (fill in the blank) for the third time.
Write a story (or poem) that starts with this sentence.
Tragedy
Today we are burying bodies for the third time
Are we doing a merciless crime?
Who knows?
In this world, anything goes.
It's such a shame, really
That I got to see something done so cruelly
They're not dead yet, but we're already burying them
Even though they're more precious than any gem.
Little by little, we're destroying her
Almost like a one-sided slaughter
She never deserved these terrible treatment
Oh, Mother Earth, please forgive us even though some don't repent.
Covering her parts with toxins and garbages
Even her dwellers—animals—are thrown in cages;
All those bodies of water, coated with grime
Today we are burying water bodies for the third time.
