Suzie
If anything was certain, it's that Suzie Slasher was a beautiful little thing. Her soft blond hair was always painstakingly placed into ringlet ponytails, her bright pink dress always pressed and clean. The true pride of the family, her eyes would shine with innocence and to her parents content, strangers would always take notice. "What a beautiful girl you have." It was the anthem to her life. Praise upon praise. The other children were jealous of her, she knew they were. She would smile too widely at them when their parents weren't looking and with blood thirsty eyes, quietly laugh at their disposition. They would run to their parents and tell them what Suzie Slasher had done, but little Suzie always gave them the sweetest little smile and run off. She was always the most brautiful thing in the room, always. That is until one fateful day when, with a scream and a cry, a sister was born. A beautiful little baby girl with eyes as big as saucers and a laugh like bells ringing. If anything was certain its that she was a beautiful thing. Her parents cooed and gawed, obsessed with the pudgy blob. Suzie would dance and scream and throw all sorts if fits, but to no avail. Strangers would look right through her and see that beet red baby and say "What a beautiful girl you have." Poor little Suzie. But then one day, on her eighth birthday, Suzie Slasher had an idea, a brilliant one. While her parents were off bragging about their newest spawn, Suzie quietly crept into the nursery with something special for her newborn friend. She stared down into the crib at the wriggling little thing smiling to herself, clutching a flaming birthday candle. A tiny sound was heard, like ringing bells. Suzie smiled and that smile turned to a giggle and that giggle turned to a laugh and that laugh turned into a delighted scream as the candle left her tiny fist. The baby's ringing bells turned to a shreiking hyena and Suzie cackled with victory as the little thing was burned of its beauty. Her parents rushed in at the sound, to find their oldest daughter maniacally cackling above the crib. Paralyzed with fear, they could only watch in horror as little Suzie Slasher skipped out of the flames, untouched and overjoyed by her sister's flaming end. From that day on, Suzie Slasher was once again the pride of the Slasher family. Strangers would look at her with wide frightened eyes, their voices shaking as they'd say "What a beautiful girl you have." Suzie would giggle as her parents looked on from afar, clutching each other tightly as their little girl recieved the praise she knew she deserved. Because if anything was certain, its that Suzie Slasher was a beautiful little thing.
