INSOMNIA
The monsters of the night found me,
deep in my they laid their seeds.
Sleep, a luxury I can no longer afford,
is this the end or phase in my life, I’ve grown to abhor?
Once I thrived in the night times
a time when dreams are created and memories cemented,
a time when love holds a candle to our hearts.
Far fetched are all these from me
cause with each night comes new horrors.
I said a prayer in silence,
wishing I’d get a moment with the night I once knew,
but unlike fairy tales where wishes come true,
the night awaits with delight to torment.
