Challenge
Write a short, narrative poem. 15 lines max.
The door before me,
holding back whatever is
making muffled sounds
behind.
I grasp the handle and
breathe,
before I twist the knob and
push.
Heat, sweaty and stifling,
surrounds me then
enters
my lungs.
And the muffled becomes intelligible.
So it begins.
