Nature
A sonnet describing the beauty found in nature.
Twilight
The sun sinks slowly beneath the calm sea,
And stars begin to paint the distant light.
Soft light tints every mountain, flower, tree,
A last spark of light ere the start of night.
Entranced, the sound of silence echoing
As yellow rays give way to velvet mist.
The vibrant colors slowly darkening,
All different shades seemingly coexist.
A tranquil and enticing atmosphere,
The galaxy lost in a reverie.
Beyond clouds the cosmos start to appear,
Surreal sight fades into a memory.
Contained within the dissipating light
Is twilight’s silent vow for a cold night.
