Villainy
His belt was worse than his bark.
His fingers pried at my secrets.
His knive carved deep into my being,
His words scarred my soul.
His nails tore at my feet
I was unstable, unusable, undone.
Of compassion he had none.
You picked me up off of the dust, you led him away.
You healed the scars of yesterday.
You shielded me with iron will.
So that I didn’t have to pay my father’s bill.
