Lessons from Mother Earth
I don't have to meditate just because you're meditating. I am me, and I am the earth. I am a child in the grand scheme- open your eyes to the wonder and beauty of the universe. Rainbows shine everywhere if you know how to look. Spiders spin their webs to catch the bad, nature's day dreamcatchers.
Sunlight is warmth and goodness, and there will always be sun even if it seems like darkness surrounds you. Be you, give love, be love- it will bring you the most love. Stare up onto the sky and realize you are a small but crucial player in the world being as it is this instant.
Accept that some things are inevitable, and that some things can change with courage and strength. Walk barefoot in the grass, and don't be afraid of a little (or a lot) of dirt. The trees are alive and watching over you, be kind to them. The sun is a mandala of brightness, the trees reach for growth and nurture through fractals and geometric magic. Be still and let go of thoughts; close your eyes to look inward but don't forget to open them and take in the beauty that surrounds you.
Smile at other people, but don't blame them for being uncomfortable. Everyone has their own personal worries. Sometimes the best moments are when you're doing nothing at all. Savor the taste of your food and be mindful of what you feed your body.
Take risks and do things that scare you, but it is okay to take your time. Do you when you are ready, not when someone else tells you you're ready. Appreciate the minute details of the world around you in every moment and realize you are that beautiful world. You are the shimmering dew drop on a blade of grass and you are the duck sleeping in the pond. You are even the harsh sound of the trees getting cut down.
Accept it all. Love it all. You are all and all is you.
