Challenge
Light and Dark: write up to 50 words about light and then do the same about dark. Compare, contrast.
I admire how the blind are so courageous.
My footsteps resonate with confidence. I can jump over a puddle of water or bound up a flight of stairs without a morsel of self doubt or fear. I can assess the person in front of me, admire her smile or be wary of his disapproval.
When the light fades and turns to darkness, self-reliance and closure fade with it, leaving me flailing in a sea of doubt and terror of the unknown. A new voice sends a shiver up my spine. Imagination runs wild in the absence of reassurance. Not being in control of my surroundings, leaves me disarmed.
