In Your Heart I Found A Halo
In your heart I found a halo gifted from above.
The nimbus kept your virtues, the greatest which was love.
In prying, I looked into, to see what I could see, but your heart was much too brilliant, and it only blinded me.
In your eyes I saw the ocean, untroubled, calm and sure. I ventured out upon it, to find its farthest shore.
But little did I fancy, how far and deep and wide, your eyes would dare to take me, beyond the farthest tide.
In your voice I heard a song, so sweet and soft and pure. I couldn’t help but listen, until I knew for sure.
That an angel stood before me, for that I had no doubt. Your voice rose to a chorus, and the world was blotted out.
In your form I saw perfection, a Phoenix flying high. Each curve the soul of beauty, each line the painter’s pride.
And to this I bear witness, that never will I see, a shape so warm and lovely as yours will always be.
