The Thunder of March
After months of blistering cold,
And days of ice blanketing all,
The seasons usher in change anew
The sun gleams in the vibrant blue sky,
Melting the last remnants of winter's wrath
The golden rays beam down,
Washing everything in their light
Sheets of rain pour down,
Watering the earth and sky,
Leaving a familiar, damp scent behind
The continuous showers
Pave the way for April flowers,
Blooming in all their resplendent glory
The sweet aroma of blossoms,
Carried along a gentle breeze,
Lingers throughout the crisp, clear air,
Stagnant no longer
The verdant vegetation renews, even stronger
The warm weather feels like a blessing
To all life, including the birds nesting
The reign of March thunders in a new season,
Earth welcomes it with arms wide open
